We are a team of experienced and highly trained mental health professionals specialising in adult, child and family mental health.  We offer a multi-disciplinary approach to our clients which means we work within a number of different disciplines and can offer a range of interventions. 

Meet the Team

Dr. Alison Bates is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director/founder of Sundance House.  Alison has over 15 years experience working in a variety of NHS and private mental health settings with adults, children, adolescents and families.  Alison has a specialism in the assessment and support of neurodevelopmental disorders, adolescent development, child behaviours of concern and parenting support.  

Eileen Sullivan is an Integrative Therapist specialising in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and emotional disorders.  Eileen has over 20 years experience working in the NHS and a variety of mental health settings.  Eileen has a specialist interest in trauma.

Dr. Sally Duncombe is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in child and adolescent mental health.  Sally is a specialist in neuropsychology and enjoys working with parents of younger children who are seeking support for developmental issues.

Dr. Nermin Murat is a clinical psychologist offering a flexible approach tailored to everyone she work's with, whether that is individuals, couples, friends, families, or teams. Nermin has extensive specialist experience in working with a range of life difficulties and mental health diagnoses, both in the NHS and Private Health Provider settings.
Nermin work's with several evidence-based models and keep clients informed every step of the way about ideas for what might be helpful and how we might implement these. Nermin's commitment is to be alongside everyone she work's with, providing a safe, confidential space that is non-judgemental. Nermin offer's on-line assessments and therapeutic interventions.

Lucy Morter is a Family Practitioner offering family support sessions to look at ways of managing mental health /difficulties/worries in the family. This can include individual, couple and group sessions both face to face or online. Lucy has experience working in a variety of mental health settings in the NHS. 

Helen Potter (tba)

Dr. Amanda Furness is an experienced Educational and Child Psychologist who has a specialist interest in Social, Emotional and Mental Health. She is experienced in working with a wide range of special educational needs and has worked both with Local Authorities and in independent practice completing statutory and pre-statutory assessments, training, consultation and intervention. 

Dr. Lucy Oldfield is an on-line Clinical Psychologist specialising in adult, child and adolescent mental health.  Lucy is currently on maternity leave as of Jan 2022.

Dominic Regan is a Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and Psychodynamic Counsellor of adults trained to doctoral  level.  Dominic has been working in mental health settings, with adults and children, for over 20 years. His specialisms include developmental trauma and Looked After Children and he has an interest in consultation, psychotherapy, training and supervision.   

Rosie Bates is our Clinic Secretary and will be delighted to welcome you to Sundance House.

Dr. Manas Sarkar is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and supports Sundance House with diagnostics for neurodevelopmental presentations (ASD/ADHD) following the thorough assessment process.  
Dr. Sarkar is affiliated with the NHS and has a private clinic at The Priory, Chelmsford.  For private referrals to Dr. Sarkar, please contact his secretary Claire Sims at claire.sims3@nhs.net - 01245 867800.
